An invitation to experience the power of divine names, sacred expressions, scriptures and prayers. This music has the potential to precipitate deep spiritual experiences and a profound sense of divine connectedness in the Judeo-Christian tradition.

Surrender extends an invitation to experience the power of divine names, sacred expressions, scriptures and prayers. For those who are willing to suspend their beliefs, preconceptions and expectations, this musical rendition, incorporating special tunings and intonations, has the potential to precipitate deep spiritual experiences and a profound sense of divine connectedness. Though Surrender draws on the Judeo-Christian tradition, it can be universally used by anyone who would like to deepen their experience of the Divine Presence.

Surrender was born out of a deep desire to produce music that reconnects us to the divine, and out of a passion for divine Names and other sacred expressions found in ancient scripture that have been of great significance to me on my spiritual journey.

My prayer is that Surrender may help to reconnect us to our highest potential as divine beings, that it may assist us in becoming co-participants in the fullness of creation and that it may facilitate Grace in all aspects of our lives.

Track descriptions:

1 Hallelujah Yahweh A chant of praise to Yahweh (the revealed name of the Eternal Father). A celebration of the divine image in which we have been created and that is alive within us.

2 The Lord's Prayer A traditional version of The Lord’s Prayer combined with the sacred expressions: Elohim (plurality of the Creator God or Creator Gods), Yahweh (the revealed name of the Divine Eternal Father) and Adonai ( Sovereign Lord).

3 Bereshith Bara (Genesis) A narration from the first two chapters of Genesis underpinned with some of the original Hebrew names of God that appear in the book of Genesis. This narration serves to reconnect us with the higher programing of man that preceded the fall of Adam and Eve into duality and seeks to restore us to our original template, the Adam Kadmon, as exemplified by Christ. Sacred Expressions: Elohim (Creator Gods), Ruach (Spirit), Yahweh (the revealed name of the Divine Eternal Father, the Living God behind all Creator Gods), Yod Yod (a repitition of the first letter of the Tetragramaton, also denotes Lord), Jehovah Yahweh (lingustic variations obtained by pronouncing the Tetragramaton with different vowel sounds), Adonai (Sovereign Lord), Adam Kadmon (the divine form or template of creation of man), YHWH (the Tetragramaton the four letters that reveal the essence of God). Text: New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures, With References. Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York: New York,1984

4 Surrender This chant invokes the Shelomith Shalom (the Peace that passes all understanding) through the act of surrendering to the Divine Father Yahweh and the Divine Mother Shekinah (Divine Presence) and calling on the redemptive power of the Messianic garment Meshia (Redeemer). As we bow to our Divine Parents we also honor our biological parents and heal our relationship with them so that we can open ourselves fully to the divine flow of Love and Life.

5 Solfeggio (Prayer of John the Baptist) This Latin prayer, attributed to John the Baptist, is loosely translated into English: Utqueant laxis (Our grief transforms to Joy/ We overflow with Joy) Resonare fibris (We resonate with Love/ Our hearts are filled with Love) Mira gestorum (And witness miracles/ Miracles are the signs) Famuli tuorum (We are Your children God/ We choose to serve mankind) Solve polluti (Heal us by your Grace/ Our minds are filled with Light) Labii reatum (Your Presence is in us/ Our lips give grateful thanks). The pitching used for this chant comprises of the Solfeggio frequencies derived from triangulation of the sequence of the 9 whole numbers arranged in a circle. These frequencies are held to have a unique effect on the individual and are used by some for healing purposes. The 9 Solfeggio frequencies incorporated in this piece of music are 174, 285, 396, 417, 528, 639, 741, 852 and 963hz.

6 Purification (Prayer of the risen Christ) An excerpt of sacred words taken from the Coptic Gnostic text Pistis Sofia that documents teachings of the risen Christ to his disciples. The chant begins with toning vowel sounds in order to balance the body and to allow us to enter into a relaxed, receptive state. We then experience the sacred expressions. According to the text Christ invokes the “Father of all Fatherhoods” the “unending Light” and uses these sacred words or seed syllables to purify the disciples so that the Divine Presence, the Holy Spirit, the feminine aspect of the Godhead may fill them and “that they may be made worthy to be counted in the kingdom of my (Christ’s) Father”: iao iouo iao aoi oia and Ma-in Ma-ri Ma-ri-e Ma-re-i Amen Amen Amen. The tuning used for this chant is based on the tuning of the great pyramid at Giza (90, 180, 270 and 360hz and octaves of overtones). Text: J.J. Hurtak and Desiree Hurtak, Pistis Sophia, a Coptic Gnostic Text With Commentary. Los Gatos: The Academy For Future Science, 1999.

7 Glory Praise to the Lord God of Hosts. As we join the Hosts in praise and begin to activate our Light Body by chanting the permutations of the Tetragramaton YHWH we are filled with His Glory. Sacred Expressions: YHWH (the Tetragramaton), Yod Yod Stebayoth (Lord God of Hosts), Kodoish (Holy). The tuning for this chant is A432hz and the intonation is just (as opposed to the usual tempered scale used in modern music).
